So when I said I didn’t bring any projects on the UT vacation, I lied.
I started this crazy doll quilt a while back but never got around to binding it. Since it is my FIRST. QUILT. EVER., figuring out how to miter the corners wasn’t something I wanted to tackle on my own. It just so happens that my mother-in-law is an expert in the area of quilting which is why I had to bring it with me.
The top is purely made of scraps – thrifted sheets, corners of hankies, bits of trim, and pieces of fabric from my time as a girlie-girl dress designer. I am hoping the little quilt survives long enough to get passed down with the doll cradle that was made for me when I was little.

It looks lovely!! I can’t believe it’s your first ever. How is that possible??
nice work
I love it! And I meant to say earlier that I need to order me some of those cool reusable grocery bags on your etsy site. I love them, too.
Love it. Anything you touch turns beautiful.
