Princess: Why? Is Grandma coming?
Me (defensive tone): Hey, the house gets cleaned more often than when Grandma comes.
Princess: Oh.
Me: But you’re right. Grandma is coming.

TOTALLY the same story in our house. Anytime I say “we need to clean up”, my son asks me “who’s coming over?”
Seriously, is that the only time they think we clean?
When my kids were younger, when they saw me putting on makeup they would ask “Is it Sunday?”
