1 night + 7 girls and their sewing machines = 20 cloth menstrual pads for girls in Africa (they’re finished except for the snaps–expect an e-mail mommymita). We probably could have gotten a few more finished if not for all the awesome menstruation related stories this sort of project inevitably brings to the surface.

The only reason I decided to plant tomatillos and jalepenos in my garden was because I love to make this dressing. I could probably use a few more recipes given that both plants are doing quite well.

Between the deep sand sections, a couple uphills that were so steep we could barely walk our bikes up, and having to bike the last 1/3 of the trail in the dark, this women’s ride literally almost killed me.

The girls got to say goodbye to Fluffy, our cousin’s bearded dragon. She is by far the coolest lizard we have every met and will be missed. Oh, and we’ll miss our cousin too.

When we are getting ready to go wherever we are going to go, Pumpkin has now started asking “Are we going in the car or walking? (although it sounds more like “are we doh-ing in de tar or whating”. Even with the one small snag, I think my plan is working.
