Crocheted Snowflakes

by This is Carrie on December 18, 2008

When I make crocheted snowflakes as gifts, each person gets one.
When my mom makes crocheted snowflakes as gifts, each person gets at least a dozen.
Luckily, my snowflakes were a gift from my mother (and since I am the favorite daughter I got 2 dozen).

You are so lucky. I love crocheted snowflakes on the tree, they brighten it up so much.

I love crocheted snowflakes. The hard part (not counting the actual crocheting) is to pin down the wet starched little beauties until they dry! My husband grandmother made a BUNCH of them for me when we first got married. She also made 5 crocheted pinapples and put them together in a star shape with a snow flake in the center. That has been our tree topper for 34 Christmases. And many more to come.

You’re right, crocheting them doesn’t take too much time, but the blocking! All those pins! It puts me over the edge.
