This bear’s job is to help kid’s remember to “Choose the Right”. But, he doesn’t hang around very long, once you record your “doing good” adventures in his journal, he’s off to help another child remember to share, speak kindly and clean their room without being asked.

Oh please post more on this bear! I know a classroom that could use this idea!
What a great idea!!!
I love that idea!!!! How cute.
A few more details:
I made this for our church children’s organization. Next year each child will get the opportunity to take the bear home and report back at church the next week. Not only is it a way help the kids develop “doing good” habits, but it’s also a way to positively spotlight each child during the year.
Jane – The original idea actually came from our elementary school. A fundraiser company we worked with used a large stuffed monkey as an incentive for the classes. It got passed around each day to the class that had the most sales. I was floored at how much the kids loved to have the monkey in their classroom to read to, play with and take to recess (even the 6th graders). We are going to continue to use the big stuffed monkey at school as a class incentive for other things too because it was such a hit.
