The girls did a great job at their ballet recital (although I’m thinking Pumpkin’s personality would be a better fit for a “Broadway” program instead of a classical ballet).
I am amazed at what we parents go through for our children. I worked backstage from 2:30 – 7:30 with 30 little girls ages 3-5 who each had at least one costume change. Todd was a tortured audience member from 4:00 until 6:00 (tortured except for those 3 minutes when our girls were on stage, of course). Lucky for him, he had to skip out early to pick up Baby Brother.

I found your blog and I don't know you but I wish I was YOU! You are so crafty and I'm way jealous of you…But I was looking at some of the stuff you've made & I was wondering about the freezer paper stenciling. I've never heard of it before!
You are a saint for these rehearsals and what you have had to do backstage. I am glad that it is over, for your sake 🙂
You and Todd are saints indeed.
Last week Ashton Kutcher tweeted that there is nothing worse than a high school graduation after your kid gets her diploma. Similar to a recital after your kid is done.
It's insanity, and frankly I'm against it. This year's recital was MUCH less painful with a new studio.
Dancing and recitals were some of my best childhood memories…Your a better person for sticking it out!
