My Iraqi Bundle of Love

by This is Carrie on September 9, 2009

Just in the nick of time, I got my Iraqi Bundle of Love shipped out. Word is, the color green is really popular among Iraqi women.

Inside: A stack of prints, a piece of denim, a length of ready to dye velveteen, a few yards of wool, a cut of mint green linen, a handful of buttons, a sampling of unique elastic, some ribbon and an allotment of purple ric rac. The awesomeness of ric rac crosses ethnic and cultural borders I am sure.

Here’s to hoping someone turns this “short-duration project” into on-going, “de-stash for good” project.

Now THAT is totally amazing! How cool!

Mine went out in the nick of time, too–the usual for me! Not nearly as prettily done up as yours, in my hurry, but I ended up destashing ten boxes worth! Wrapping has never been my strong point, anyway.

And I too hope that this turns into some kind of ongoing project.

I got mine out as well. Unfortunately, I learned about the green thing too late. Hopefully next time.
