Because I didn’t tell my family I was in town (sorry family!), I had time to meet up with another old friend. This one was from my “Clothing & Textiles” college days. Needless to say, we did not run out of fun and creative things to talk about.
She sent me home with pre-traced patterns of some very cute Japanese kids clothing. Only those who have ever seen a Japanese pattern book will know what it means to not have to trace the dizzying mess of intersecting lines.

That was fun to get out – I was rescued from a stinky, smelly basement of screaming football fans.
Next time I'll take a weekend alone and head to CA, I just need a good excuse to go
