All over the world, people are suffering, people are hurting, people are hungry every single day. But these last few days it’s a fact that is impossible to ignore with the news coming out of Haiti.
Once again, I’m reminded how lucky I am to have enough money to not only cover my basic needs but also fund “hobbies” that bring me a lot of happiness. It is truly a blessing I don’t deserve more than anyone else in this world.
The Crafting community has rallied with some great opportunities to help fund Haiti relief. Go check it out.
I think I’m going to take the Knitters Without Borders Challenge and thanks to a great idea I passed on by a friend, the girls and I are going to set up a “Hot Cocoa for Haiti” stand on Monday in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service.
Because every little bit helps.

Set up the stand and I will be first in line (at least after work) to buy hot chocolate! Great idea!

Don’t miss Craft Hope’s etsy store for Haiti where 100% of the purchase goes to Doctors without Borders.
crafthope.etsy.com
All items being sold were donated by crafters (many of whom are regular etsy sellers and/or craft bloggers).
Craft Hope is always doing something awesome (like their current scarf project).

Thanks for bringing crafthope Adrienne! They are fab.
I love that hot chocolate stand idea. Hope the rain doesn’t get in the way this weekend. Maybe an inside plan just in case. Anyway – a wonderful idea.

It will definitely be raining, but I’m putting up the pop-up and we’ll be out on the corner. A rainy day might sell more hot chocolate in southern CA.
