Yesterday was the day we said goodbye to all the excess Halloween candy (save a few small bags of favorites). Since we’ve been donating to Operation Gratitude for as long as the kids can remember, giving their candy is just as much of a Halloween tradition as getting it.

What a great idea. We were going to do that this year, after reading about it on your blog last year, but the kiddies got too cold during trick or treating and we didn’t end up with much candy. I couldn’t complain about that! Maybe next year. 🙂

After reading your blog for the past few years and hearing about how you’ve done this, my kids donated their candy this morning to Operation Gratitude at our local dentist office. Thanks for sharing this with us!
