With the recent addition to the family, we decided not to make our traditional holiday trip to visit family in Utah.
Instead, Todd’s mom came down to visit us.
So we went ice skating.
Princess was cautious barely falling once while Pumpkin skated with tenacity even while landing on her behind every few minutes. Brother just thought it was “reawy slippy”
We baked Christmas cookies.
The kids decided that gingerbread men look better than they taste.
We rode the Christmas train.
Princess was sad to find out she is now over the height limit (though they let her ride anyway).
We played dominoes.
Grandma plays a yummy M&M version.
We went to look at Christmas lights.
When Grandma’s around, everything is more fun.

When you are ready for a short(ish) trip with the clan, come on up! Your little house next door will be ready starting next week when Sally leaves for Mexico.

ben took the 3 big kids ice skating on christmas eve & the 4 year old loved it so much! they have PVC walkers (sliders?) for kids and it was great for him to skate around on the ice and not fall. now he wants to join the free hockey league!

I wished out rink had those PVC walkers. It would have been much easier for my back! We still had a lot of fun though.

LOVE it! Grandma’s are a special kind of fun 🙂 I think the “Oh, snap” gingerbread man is the cutest.

We love it when grandma comes to town, too. This is such a sweet little story- hope you shared it with the grandma – she would love it I’m sure 🙂
Also, adorable kiddos !

@Lynn-anne I agree! If Grandma doesn’t do the internet, print it. I know it will make her smile.

Luckily, we have a very computer savvy Grandma!
