Making Stuff: Easter Skirt {Vintage Sheet Refashion}

by This is Carrie on April 27, 2012

Princess was the only one who actually got a “new” piece of clothing for Easter. And by “new”, I mean a skirt made out of a thrifted and renewed sheet.  I used the Whirly Twirly Skirt pattern but changed the front to a flat waistband and and used an enclosed elastic waistband in the back.

The jacquard trim was one of my luckiest thrift store finds and it’s been sitting in my stash just begging to be used.  A waistband on a cheery Easter skirt seemed like the perfect place.

Hi there 🙂
I love this skirt, the sheet is just perfect. I am actually on the prowl for some awesomely colorful vintage sheets, where should I look for some? I usually go to Sav-Mor in Santa Ana but I am looking for some more like the one you used in this skirt. Thanks for any insight.
Have a beautiful day

I get my old floral sheets all over the place, but I seem to always had luck at the Savers in Anaheim. Good luck!
