My church’s Humanitarian Services has an immediate need for full size quilts, so with the help of a “quilter friend” we set up a couple, all ready to tie in between Super Saturday crafts. Even though I had big plans for my thrifted floral sheets, this was a far better plan.

I was completely inspired by Bernadette Noll and Kathie Sever of Future Craft Collective (via CRAFT. My version, made out of thrifted sheets & fabric scraps and with stitched calendar lines, took some time and patience, but hopefully it will be something we can pull out each summer for years to come. more pics here

At the same time I was searching for a “new” desk, our neighbors were trying to get rid of an old desk. After a few cans of spray paint, a couple sheets of sandpaper, and a call to my expert friend, I have a perfect desk for the corner of our bedroom.
