On Thanksgiving Day, my first 10K run turned into my first 10K swim. This is the winner who ran it in 29:22. I was RIGHT behind him, coming in at 1 hour 3 minutes. Not bad.

YOU ROCK HARD CORE. Seriously, woman…you rock 🙂
That does not sound fun at ALL.
I did a turkey trot when I was pregnant the first time. It was a 5K, and I am pretty sure I skipped a large portion of the race by taking a short cut. It was fun…
I support the tradition of it, but the length and the rain? no thank you.
1 hour 3 minutes? You’re awesome! Way to go!
Why does this not surprise me? You are amazing, hope you had a good turkey day.
Wow…that’s a great time!!! Congrats…I didn’t even know you were running! Seeing the rain makes me feel a little better that we didn’t come to LA for Thanksgiving this year….I guess that storm probably took care of any remaining fires, huh?
Great job! I haven’t done a turkey trot since I had kids but in high school and college we would dress up as pilgrims, indians, or wear Santa hats with jingle bells on our laces. I’m sure you could come up with some pretty clever costume as well!
You’re a runner now. Yay! You in for the Lopez 9 miler next year??
