We’ve had a little green house guest for the past couple days. I rather enjoyed his soft singing so I wasn’t in a hurry to shoo him out. But, last night the girls decided it was time to return the katydid to his home–outside.

One of the teachers made these fabulous election-themed muffins for our little bake sale this morning to benefit the elementary school PTA. There was a nice steady stream of customers since the school is also the polling place.

The girls received an election themed-surprise in the mail from their Aunt and family. Unlike the average “Duck for President” book, ours came complete with some not-so-subtle presidential campaigning. Now that’s what I call grassroots. Happy Voting!
