It can’t be fun to get passed by girls, let alone pregnant ones in red sparkle running skirts. But we had to do what we had to do to keep our steady preggo pace. It was nice of the super fast 30 something women to stay home that morning so I could come home with a 3rd place ribbon (and keep my promise to the midwife that I wouldn’t “race” – just run).
Running on the 3rd of July

I am so inspired by you! I had a miscarriage earlier this spring, and decided to train for a half marathon while I was waiting until my OB said I could start trying again. My plan had been to either run one in that amount of time, or wait until next summer. I am now trying for a baby AND training, hoping to accomplish both by this fall! Thanks again!

Good luck with your training! A half marathon is a great goal to work towards.
You are amazing! I can’t imagine running a marathon at all, much less while pregnant!
LOL….i can’t wait til i’m like 80 and in an age category that i can actually place in! i find your blog so motivational. a group of friends and i plan on making some skirts of our own to run the Royal Victoria 1/2 marathon in october!
Congrats to you!! So very awesome to see you not using pregnancy as an excuse not to do things!! I love it! I mountain biked and played volleyball almost the whole time (until it got a bit dangerous – pregnant women can get clumsy!) and I never felt better!
