BlogHer Conference 2011

I started blogging in 2005 as a way to get over the separation anxiety I was having about leaving all my friends in NYC.  We created Tales from the Crib so we could continue our NYC play group chats even though all of a sudden we were spread out across the whole USA.  Right after my first son was born in 2008, I started this personal blog. It was a way for me to keep track of the creative and fun parts of my life when sometimes it felt all I was doing was changing diapers and doing laundry.  Blogging has been a great outlet for me over the years, letting me vent, explore, create, inspire and share.  I’ve “met” a lot of wonderful people through blogging many of whom share my passions for sewing, running, refashioning, biking and giving.  Then, there were all the blogging strangers who came to the aid of my little girl when she found out she needed glasses. Truly amazing.

And after all those years of blog love, BlogHer 2011 is my very first blog conference.  With it being the “Mother of all Blog conferences,” I’m feeling a little overwhelmed.  If you are going to be there, I would love to meet you! And if you happen to need a roomie for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, I’m roomless at the moment (bad, last minute planning).  I don’t snore and I promise not to try to spoon with you.  I’ll even include a cache of crafting/sewing/refashioning goodies or even a Team Sparkle running skirt with my share of the room payment.
