Once again, we boxed up our Halloween candy along with bags and bags of candy left at our front door by friends who heard we were sending it off to a better place.

The day after we signed up to be part of Operation Baking Gals, our assigned soldier’s convoy was attacked in Afghanistan and he was seriously injured. So heartbreaking. This box of goodies will find him stateside and hopefully make his long recovery the tiniest bit easier.

My church’s Humanitarian Services has an immediate need for full size quilts, so with the help of a “quilter friend” we set up a couple, all ready to tie in between Super Saturday crafts. Even though I had big plans for my thrifted floral sheets, this was a far better plan.
