I’m loving my new calling at church: planning bi-monthly activities for girls ages 8-11. Our first activity together? Writing letters to soldiers and veterans and boxing up all the candy for Operation Gratitude.

The day after we signed up to be part of Operation Baking Gals, our assigned soldier’s convoy was attacked in Afghanistan and he was seriously injured. So heartbreaking. This box of goodies will find him stateside and hopefully make his long recovery the tiniest bit easier.
