New Addition to the Beach Cruiser

by This is Carrie on September 30, 2009

Until I win the Madsen “mini-van” bike, I’ll have to make due with a new child seat on the back of my beach cruiser. Perfect for my “around the neighborhood” errands while the girls are at school.

Making Stuff: “Patriotic” Skirt

by This is Carrie on September 28, 2009

Spirit Day at school this month had a “Patriot’s Day” theme (not much of a stretch for a school who’s uniforms are red and navy). Princess happily ditched her plain navy bottoms for this paperbag waisted skirt made from a piece from the ever-giving “estate sale jackpot” even though she reminded me it was really […]

by This is Carrie on September 7, 2009

As has become our family tradition, and fitting with the Super Why theme, we asked guests for donations of new or gently used kids books for The Orange County Rescue Mission in lieu of traditional party gifts.

The Love of Grandma

by This is Carrie on August 6, 2009

Having Grandma in town meant the kids had a playmate all day. New Bike Lusting – The Zigo

by This is Carrie on April 27, 2009

“Modular, mom- or dad-powered transportation for streets or bike path, errands, school/day care commuting, or just for fun!” It’s not made for the mountains, but it’s still the coolest bike with your babies commuter I’ve seen. And I keep wondering how awesome it would be if I could hook this up to the back for […]

Todd often wishes his busy lawyer work schedule would allow him to be a more involved “co-parent”. But after hearing a few of his parenting ideas these past few weeks, I’m wondering if that is such a great idea: To the girls: “If you root for the Lakers, I will cut off your finger and […]
